Principal's Message

Dear Pittston Area Intermediate Center community,

I want to extend to you and your family a very warm welcome to the Pittston Area Intermediate Center!! These school years are an exciting time when children embark upon new adventures in the world of learning. Each year will provide important transitions and the acquisition of new skills that will enhance each student’s ability to apply learning in many ways. The Pittston Area Intermediate Center is committed to providing a challenging and rigorous curriculum that helps each student progress at a developmentally appropriate rate and provides a safe environment for all students. 

We have a wonderful school community! Our caring staff members work hard to help all students learn and they want what is best for them. Our students are eager to learn and we strive to help them follow our expectations to be safe, to be respectful, to be responsible, and to give their best learning effort. Many parents and other community members contribute to our school. Our partnership with the families of our students as well as other community members and organizations is a key part of our success. Students benefit as parents and guardians are involved in their formal education. We should have consistent communication between home and school for families to learn about what is happening at school and provide feedback to help us improve. Please be involved. Like all schools, we have opportunities for improvement, and we aspire to unite with you in our efforts.

I sincerely care about all children and their families, which motivates me to try my best to provide a quality experience for each student every day.
