STAR Program
PBIS STAR Program at the Martin F. Quinn Primary Center
“PBIS” is short for Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports.
PBIS means that teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff are going to take responsibility to teach students positive behavior expectations to…
help each child develop self-discipline.
develop good citizens
maintain a safe learning environment
recognize positive attributes of students
PBIS means that students will know exactly what is expected of them. Students who show self-control, take responsibility, have a positive attitude, and are respectful will be recognized and rewarded in a variety of ways.

When: At the moment, when the student demonstrates the good behavior related to the S.T.A.R. expectations
• Students' who receive a ticket wear the ticket in a "You're a STAR" lanyard and choose a bingo space on the S.T.A.R. Club Board.
• Students' names are recognized for their good behavior in a school-wide announcement.
• The parents receive a special phone call from the Primary Center Principal
• When 10 tiles are connected on the STAR Club Board, students will receive a reward from the Principal's treasure chest.
