Keystone Exams

Dear Pittston Area School Community,

As we move into the spring semester, I would like to take this opportunity to share important information regarding the

Spring 2026 Keystone Exams

The Pennsylvania Keystone Exams are end-of-course assessments aligned to the state academic standards in Algebra I, Biology, and Literature. These exams are an important component of Pennsylvania’s statewide assessment system and serve as one of the graduation requirements for students enrolled in these courses.

Who Is Expected to Test

Students currently enrolled in a Keystone-tested course will participate in the corresponding exam. In addition, students who previously did not meet proficiency will have opportunities to retest.

Preparation and Support

Pittston Area High School remains committed to supporting every student’s success. Teachers are integrating targeted review and Keystone-aligned instruction into their coursework. I encourage students to maintain strong attendance, ask questions, and take advantage of these supports.

Family Partnership

Families play a vital role in helping students prepare. Ensuring students get adequate rest, arrive on time, and feel encouraged and confident can make a meaningful difference. We greatly appreciate your partnership and support during the testing period.
