For the month of November, on Mondays and Wednesdays, the Pittston Area Swim & Dive Team will be hosting an intramural program where it will teach the middle school students the four strokes, flip-turns, dives, stroke development, water-safety, and fun water games. Students can choose to learn diving, swimming, or both. The intramural is for middle school students of all swim levels!!
If interested, please complete the attached form and return it to Coach Volansky (Room 203) by Friday, October 31.

One week left to raise funds for our school. If you have not had a chance to register online and/or participate it is not too late!

2. Share the fundraiser via email and social media with 5+ supporters directly from your student dashboard!
3. Sell in person to family in friends by showing the GOURMET COOKIES AND MORE catalog so they can pick out their favorite items. All orders and money due by Tuesday, September 30th.
*The more you participate - the more prizes you can earn!

The Pittston Area Girls lacrosse team will be hosting a girl's lacrosse clinic for girls that attend PA grades 2-8 on Monday October 13th from 10:00am - 2:00pm at the lacrosse field located behind the primary center on Rock Street.
First part of the clinic will consist of basic skills & drills followed by small area games. A break in between sessions will include pizza for all participants.
The clinic will be run by the Girl's lacrosse coaches in addition to members from the girl's lacrosse team.
The link for the form to register for the clinic is listed below. Please share to anyone who might have a girl interested in playing lacrosse.

A Peek at the Week Ahead at the PAMS...
6th Grade Science teacher, Ms. Samuels, welcomes a new year & a new group of students to her class with a fun activity to get to know her students as they get to know our middle school. These activities included "Getting to Know You", where the students listed information about themselves such as future career and a list of favorites, "Teacher Jeopardy" where the students got to answer questions about Ms. Samuels, and a "Find Someone Who" activity where the students had the chance to learn about their classmates. It was a great ice breaker to start the year in a new place. Great job to Ms. Samuels and to our 6th grade science students!

PAMS Student Picture Schedule for September 8 & 9...
Any 7th/8th grader that did NOT pick up their new Chromebook will have the opportunity to pick up their new device on Friday, September 5 during related arts. Announcements will be made during 2nd and 3rd period. Please remember to bring your chromebook, charger, and signed AUP!
Students MUST clean and turn in their current Chromebook and charger to receive a new Chromebook. Chromebooks should NOT have any stickers except the Pittston Area label.
