We loved celebrating students who were recognized for demonstrating STAR behavior — Self-control, Taking responsibility, a positive Attitude, and Respect. When students were observed making great choices, their names were added to our STAR Bingo Board ⭐
Once 10 names connected, it was time to celebrate! 🎯 Those students earned an extra prize, presented by Mr. Savokinas and Mrs. Ferentino. 🎁👏
We are so proud of our students for setting a positive example and helping create a respectful, responsible school community. Keep up the amazing work — keep being a STAR! 🌟✨

🇺🇸 AMVETS Americanism Contest at Pittston Area Primary Center 🇺🇸
Kindergarten, first, and second grade students at the Pittston Area Primary Center proudly participated in the AMVETS Americanism Contest! Our kindergarten and first grade students colored the American flag and answered questions about its meaning, while second grade students wrote essays answering the question, “What does it mean to be an American?” and illustrated their ideas with drawings.
The photos featured highlight our schoolwide winners. The top three students from each grade level were selected to represent our school and were submitted to the local and state AMVETS contests.
The AMVETS Americanism Program is a patriotic initiative that supports schools and youth organizations in teaching students—from kindergarten through 12th grade—about American heritage, civics, and citizenship through age-appropriate flag drawing, poster, and essay contests. We are so proud of our students for their thoughtful work and patriotism! 🇺🇸✨ #AMVETS #PAproud #Americanism

Mrs. Luvender set up our Primary Center STEM Lab for a winter STEM challenge ❄️🧪. Our young engineers took on a festive task—designing a way to get a gingerbread man safely across the water! 🍪🌊 Using teamwork and lots of creativity, students brainstormed, built, tested, and improved their designs.
They explored real engineering concepts such as stability, balance, and problem-solving—all while having holiday fun 🎄🧠. We loved watching our students collaborate, think critically, and discover that STEM can be both educational and exciting!
It was a Fun Friday afternoon for Room 222! 🎉 Mrs. Flynn’s class enjoyed Show and Tell along with their STEM Lab activity.
