🍎 Mrs. Antal’s Kindergarten class had an amazing first week of learning centers! ✨ The students had several opportunities to learn through play with fun, hands-on activities. 🙌
🔬 Science Center:
The students examined and sorted collections of natural items like acorns, chestnuts, leaves, and pinecones 🍂🌰. They used magnifying glasses 🔎 to get a closer look and drew their observations on response sheets. ✏️
🔤 ABC Center:
The students used play dough to form letters ✨. This fun, hands-on activity helped them learn the alphabet while developing their fine motor skills. 💪✍️
🌈 Math Center:
It was a “rainbow” of fun! 🌟 The class sorted Skittles by color 🍬 and created bar graphs 📊. This activity helped them explore numbers, colors, and fine motor skills in a sweet and colorful way!
📖 Listening Center:
The students enjoyed Let It Fall 🍁. They listened to the story aloud and used a response sheet to build their reading fluency and comprehension skills. 🧠🎧
We had so much fun learning this week and can’t wait for centers every week! 🎉🖍️📚

🎨 Painting a Pumpkin Patch in Mrs. Davis’ Art Class! 🎃
Each grade level has been working on their own pumpkin-inspired masterpieces, and the results are as unique as each young artist:
🍂 Kindergarten — Inspired by the beloved book character Spookley the Square Pumpkin, our youngest artists practiced their fine motor skills by cutting, gluing, and painting their very own square pumpkins.
🌻 1st Grade — First graders explored crayon resist techniques to create vibrant pumpkin landscape paintings in the style of Vincent van Gogh. Their swirling skies and glowing pumpkins are truly a work of art!
🧡 2nd Grade — Second graders mixed primary colors to make their own painted papers, then collaged expressive facial features to design Picasso-inspired pumpkins full of personality and bold shapes.
Mrs. Davis’ classroom pumpkin patch is a celebration of art history, creativity, and fall fun. 🍁✨

Each classroom is working on their own writing piece ✍️. As a wonderful community activity, the SPCA came to talk with us about all the amazing things they do for different kinds of animals 🐾🐱🐰.
The kids had so many great questions for Carol, and they especially loved meeting Scooby 💕. (Good news: Scooby is available for adoption too! 🏡🐶)
