Pittston Area Marching Patriots Send-off Show at 7:00PM inside Charlie Trippi Stadium
On Monday, November 10, the Pittston Area Marching Patriots will be having their final local performance of the season with our Indianapolis Send-off Show at 7:00PM inside Charlie Trippi Stadium.
The Marching Patriots will be leaving for Indianapolis early in the morning of November 13, and this will be our last practice before leaving. At 700PM, we will be doing a full uniform performance of our show, "FORE! A day in the life of a golfer" for the last time in Pennsylvania. It would be great if we could get a nice crowd for the kids at the stadium on Monday.
Yes it will be cold.
Yes it will probably be windy.
But yes, it will be short.
And absolutely YES, it will ENTERTAIN!!!!
The kids have worked hard all year and are coming off a 6th place finish at the Cavalcade of Bands Championships in a loaded field of incredible marching bands. It was their best show of the season.........so far.
The band will be traveling to the Bands of America Grand National Championships with an 845AM performance time on Friday, November 14. The Marching Patriots will be the only marching band competing from Pennsylvania, and are the first band ever from northeastern Pennsylvania to compete at the BOA Grand Nationals.
Come out on Monday night for some great entertainment, and to support an amazing group of kids about to do something historic for our marching band program.

Local law enforcement has confirmed that the suspect connected to the earlier reported threat in nearby districts is now in custody.
We want to assure you that at no point was the Pittston Area School District directly involved or under threat. Our students and staff remained safe throughout the day.
We are grateful for the diligent work of Mr. Billy Gross, our Security Team, the Pennsylvania State Police, and local law enforcement agencies for their coordination and commitment to keeping our schools safe.
Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Sincerely,
The Pittston Area Administrative Team
We are aware that the Wyoming Area, WVW, and Lake-Lehman School Districts have placed their schools on administrative lockdown due to an external threat in their communities.
Our Head of Security, Mr. Gross has been in contact with local authorities and together they have determined that the alleged external threat does not involve the Pittston Area School District.
Our Security team will continue to receive updates as more information becomes available.
Again, there have been no threats made against the Pittston Area School District, and all local law enforcement agencies are aware of and are monitoring the situation.
As always, in an abundance of caution, the PASD will remain vigilant and aware of our surroundings throughout the day.
Thank you for your attention and continued cooperation.
We are pleased to remind you that all students in the Pittston Area School District are eligible to receive a free breakfast and lunch every school day. This program is available to every student, regardless of family income, and ensures that all children have access to nutritious meals prepared daily by our food service staff.
Please note that due to the recent freeze on SNAP benefit adjustments, families may experience delays or temporary pauses in updates to their benefits. The free meal program at Pittston Area Schools remains active and unaffected by these changes, so every student will continue to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.
We encourage all students to take advantage of this opportunity and enjoy healthy meals at school.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us provide for our students’ well-being.
Sincerely,
Pittston Area School District Administration
