☀️🎉 That's a Wrap, Primary Center! 🎉☀️
Just like that, another amazing school year has come to an end! From the first day of school jitters to the final hugs, our students have learned, grown, explored, created, and made memories that will last a lifetime. ❤️📚✏️
As we head into summer, we encourage our families to enjoy every moment—read a good book, play outside, make new adventures, and create wonderful memories together. 🌳📖🍦☀️
To our kindergarten and first grade students, we can't wait to see your smiling faces back at the Primary Center next year! And to our second graders, we are so proud of you as you take the next big step to the Intermediate Center. We know you will continue to shine and make us proud.
Today also marks a special farewell to a beloved member of our Primary Center family, Mrs. Sue Falcone. After a remarkable career dedicated to children and education, Mrs. Falcone is retiring. Throughout her years in Pittston Area, she touched countless lives as a Family Center educator, 4th grade teacher, kindergarten teacher, and most recently as our 2nd grade reading specialist. Her kindness, dedication, and passion for helping children succeed have made a lasting impact on generations of students and families. 💙📚
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Falcone on her well-deserved retirement and wishing her many years of happiness, relaxation, and new adventures! 🌸👏

💙🪑 A Place for Friendship, Inclusion, and Community! 🪑💙
Our new Buddy Bench serves as a special reminder that no child should ever feel alone. The purpose of the Buddy Bench is to help students feel included during recess and other activities by providing a welcoming place where friendships can begin and kindness can grow.
More than just a bench, it represents our commitment to building a caring school community both inside and outside the classroom. When students see a classmate sitting on the Buddy Bench, it's an invitation to reach out, include others, and make someone’s day a little brighter.
A heartfelt thank you to the LoPresto, Walski, and Ranieli classes of 2025–2026 for donating this meaningful addition to our playground. Together, we are helping create a school where every student feels seen, valued, and included. ❤️🤍💙

⚾📣 Good Luck, Patriots Baseball! 📣⚾
The Pittston Area Primary Center was bursting with Patriot Pride today as our students lined the driveway to cheer on the Boys Baseball Team as they headed off to the Class 5A Quarterfinals in Fredericksburg! ❤️💙
Armed with handmade signs, pom-poms, and plenty of enthusiasm, our kindergarten, first, and second grade students gave the team a sendoff to remember. The cheers echoed through the campus as our youngest Patriots wished their hometown heroes the best of luck on the big stage.
Seeing former Primary Center students represent Pittston Area with pride is always special, and today's celebration reminded us that once a Patriot, always a Patriot! 🇺🇸⚾
Good luck in the quarterfinals, Patriots! We're all rooting for you! ❤️🤍💙 #PatriotPride #GoPatriots #PAFamily #FuturePatriots

🎨✨ Creativity was on full display at the Pittston Area Primary Center! ✨🎨

Our students explored a variety of open-ended art experiences that encouraged imagination, problem-solving, and self-expression. Students created digital artwork with Mrs. Reza, explored art centers filled with collage materials, paint, and building supplies with Mrs. Davis, and used colorful sidewalk chalk to help beautify the front of our school.

When children are given opportunities to create freely, they learn to express their ideas, take creative risks, and develop confidence in their unique talents. We love seeing our young artists transform everyday materials into extraordinary creations! 🌈🖌️💡

🌟🎉 That's a Wrap on Our STAR Bingo Board for the School Year! 🎉🌟
Today, we celebrated the final group of students to earn a special prize through our STAR Bingo Board! Throughout the year, students were recognized for demonstrating STAR behavior by showing Self-control, Taking responsibility, a positive Attitude, and Respect. ⭐
Each time a student was caught making great choices, their name was added to the board. When 10 names connected, those students earned an extra prize from Mr. Savokinas! 🎁👏
As we close out another successful school year, we want to congratulate all of our students who worked hard to make positive choices, be kind to others, and contribute to a respectful learning environment. Your STAR behavior helped make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow! 🌟

🎓❤️ 💙Once a Patriot, Always a Patriot! ❤️💙🎓
Today, the halls of the Pittston Area Primary Center were filled with excitement as members of the Class of 2026 returned to where their educational journey began. Dressed in their caps and gowns, our graduating seniors took a special walk through the building while kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students lined the halls to cheer them on with enthusiastic chants of “6-7! 6-7!” 📣🎉
Our kindergarten students proudly joined the celebration by wearing their own caps and gowns, dreaming of the day they will follow in the seniors' footsteps. Proud parents welcomed their graduates, and many former teachers were thrilled to reconnect with students who once filled their Primary Center classrooms with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories.
A special moment of the day was the visit from Mrs. Lisa Morreale, who returned to send off her final graduating first grade class. What a meaningful full-circle moment for students and teacher alike. ❤️
Congratulations, Class of 2026! Thank you for inspiring our youngest Patriots to dream big, work hard, and believe in their future. Your Primary Center family is so proud of you! 🎓⭐❤️🤍💙

🎓✨ Moving Up and Moving On! ✨🎓
Our second graders celebrated their big transition from the Pittston Area Primary Center to third grade at the Intermediate Center with a special Moving Up Day celebration! 💙❤️
The PTO transformed the gym into a prom-style party where students danced with friends, enjoyed delicious snacks, struck their best poses in the photo booth, and made memories that will last for years to come. 📸🎶🍿
A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for sponsoring this special event and for providing every student with a commemorative T-shirt to remember this exciting milestone. 👕🎉
We are so proud of our second graders and all they have accomplished during their time at the Primary Center. Best of luck as you begin your next chapter at the Intermediate Center—we know you'll continue to do great things! ⭐📚🏫

🎶🎷 Swinging into learning! 🎷🎶
This spring, first graders in Mrs. Litchkowski’s, Ms. Imbrogno’s, Ms. Boylan’s and Ms. Richards’ classes had the exciting opportunity to learn about the world of jazz with guest musician and music teacher Mrs. Tara Middleton from Philadelphia, alongside our own music teacher, Mr. Naples! 🎵✨
Students explored the many elements of jazz through scat singing, improvisation, rhythm, and creativity. They learned jazz standards such as Watermelon Man and discovered the contributions of legendary jazz musicians like Cab Calloway and Herbie Hancock. 🎤🎹
Jazz encourages creativity, listening skills, and self-expression, and our students did an amazing job finding their own unique musical voices! 🎶👏
A special thank you to Mrs. Middleton and Mr. Naples for providing this memorable musical experience and helping our students develop an appreciation for this uniquely American art form! ❤️🎺

🎉🎓 End-of-the-Year Fun in Mrs. Luvender’s Kindergarten Class! 🎓🎉
As the school year winds down, Mrs. Luvender’s class has been making memories and celebrating all they’ve accomplished! 🌟
Students enjoyed a special 🎲 Board Game Day, playing favorites like Hi Ho Cherry-O, Candy Land, Connect Four, and Paw Patrol Pop-It. These games helped build teamwork, turn-taking, and problem-solving skills while having lots of fun!
🎩 The young artists also showed off their creativity by decorating colorful hats to wear and enjoy.
🍬 One of the most exciting activities was the “Party in a Bag” exchange! Students decorated brown paper bags and filled them with sweet treats, salty snacks, chocolate goodies, and a surprise treasure. Then, they played a fun game of Hot Potato 🎶🥔—when the music stopped, the bag in their hands became theirs to keep!
What a wonderful way to celebrate a year filled with learning, friendship, and growth. Way to go, kindergarteners! ❤️📚✨

🏕️🔦 Camping Day came to life in Ms. Boylan’s and Ms. Richards’ classrooms! 🌲✨
Students traded traditional desks for a cozy campsite as their classroom was transformed into a giant tent complete with draped fabric overhead. Armed with flashlights, campers worked on their lessons, sang campfire songs, and enjoyed a special s’mores-inspired snack. 🔦📚🎶🍫
Research shows that hands-on, themed learning experiences help increase student engagement, creativity, and memory retention. Judging by the smiles, this classroom adventure was a camp-tastic success! 🏕️❤️

🌸🌱 Kindergarten is growing BIG ideas in the STEM Lab! 🌱🌸
Students in Mr. Lombardo and Mrs. Kelly’s kindergarten classes took the traditional spring flower project to the next level by using hydroponics to grow beautiful snapdragons and zinnias! 🌼💧
But the learning didn’t stop there! Our kindergarten gardeners also helped grow several types of lettuce and greens in the hydroponic garden, including leafy vegetables used to make fresh salads today! 🥗🥬 Students were excited to harvest their crops and enjoy the results of their hard work with ranch or Italian dressing.
Through this hands-on STEM experience, students learned about plant growth, responsibility, healthy eating, and how hydroponic systems can grow plants without soil. The STEM Lab has been blooming with curiosity, teamwork, and springtime fun! 🌷☀️👩‍🌾👨‍🌾
A special thank you to Mrs. Reza and Mrs. Luvender for coordinating this amazing project and helping our young learners grow both plants and STEM skills! 💚

Mrs. Klem’s first grade class worked incredibly hard writing and illustrating their very own book titled When I Grow Up. We are so proud of all the creativity, effort, and teamwork that went into making this project a success!
To celebrate their accomplishment, they held a special publishing party complete with cupcakes and lots of smiles! 🧁🎉
A very special thank you goes to Mrs. Chaump, our reading specialist, for all of her help and support throughout this journey. We would also like to thank Educational Assistants Mrs. Halford and Mrs. Klush for their encouragement and assistance along the way.
Congratulations to our amazing new authors! We are so proud of each and every one of you! ❤️
